The Decision has been made...

I just finished my first week of video class & I came out with mad respect for anyone who does video. All though it was long, intense, & lots of software curve balls, overall I had a lot of fun & can't wait to keep making some videos. Since I have had so many people curious about my next move, I thought this would be a fun way to let you all know. Given lots of thought, many sleepless nights & a TON of research I have decided to...

For you MOM...

My mom is the hardest working woman I know. She has been a Registered Nurse my entire life & probably her entire life too. Working graveyards in the emergency room, raising us wild kids & being a wonderful wife, sister & daughter were all in a day’s work for her. When I think of her these words best describe her, determination, strong, giving, hardworking, generous, loving & beautiful. As far back as I can remember she would always make sure she had her favorite lipstick on. I can still smell its sweet scent today. I admire her & wanted to show her that her hard work as a nurse & mother doesn’t go unnoticed. Happy Birthday Mom, I love you Always & Forever!

P.S. This was on a roll of FILM :D

Brides, brides & oh ya Grooms

Pretend Weddings are the best; I should have had one :) I had a lot of fun with these adorable models & it made me think more about getting into the wedding industry…

Fun with food...

The Coffee Break is one of my favorite places to park it for lunch so I was pleased to be photographing in a favorite local spot of mine. I approached this project as if I were shooting for a small travel magazine, telling a story of a great place to grab a coffee & some treats.

Interiors

I never knew how much of a detailed oriented person I was until this shoot of Interiors. Shall we say I am a little obsessive compulsive? It was actually a very helpful learning experience; I realized that this is a great quality to have in photography. P.S. If you are ever in Missoula, MT make sure to stay at the Gibson Mansion Bed & Breakfast. It is a masterpiece of true interior craftsmanship. http://gibsonmansion.com/

Modern Studio

My second week of Pro Studies was Modern Studio & it was amazing. We had shoots in the studio, outside with natural light, with Families, Interiors, Brides & Grooms & Food. I learned so much about light & whole lot of business. Heather Anne Thomas of Beall &Thomas Photography was a great instructor & I love her work. Hopefully one day we can work together, if you get time check out her site. http://www.beallandthomas.com/

Editorial Portraiture

I’m back. I have been busy with school & loving every minute of it. The last two weeks I have been submerged in Professional Studies here. Editorial Portraiture was my first pro studies course, Where I was taught all about portraiture for magazines, local stories for newspapers, etc. There is a lot of hard work that goes into this kind of photography & I could tell that after just one week. Here are a few of my favorites.
